There is no better way to see the Falls and surrounding area than to take a leisurely stroll through picturesque Queen Victoria Park. Established in 1885, Queen Victoria Park was created by the provincial government of Ontario who wanted to protect the beauty of the area surrounding the Falls.

The park began with 62 hectares of land, but today extends some 56 kilometres along the Niagara River, spanning from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. It boasts some of the most beautiful gardens in the province and is a particularly delightful place to visit in the spring when 70,000 yellow daffodils peak their heads from the once frosty ground and create a sea of colour. During the summer month’s elegant roses bloom alongside thousands of colourful bedding plants grown at the Niagara Parks Greenhouse.

Visitors will also enjoy the scenic views of the Niagara River which can be seen from the park. The park is the perfect place to come and watch the spectacular fireworks throughout the summer.
